Savannah Georgia’s 2012 Fantastic 4th of July on the River

The city’s main celebration will take place at Rousakis Plaza on Historic River Street. Arrive early to enjoy the unique shops and galleries on the cobblestone streets. The party officially beings at 5 pm with live music, vendors and street entertainment. The fireworks show at 9:30 pm will be timed to the music simulcast on BIG 98.3 (Adventure Radio). Spread out your blanket, take your refreshments out of the cooler and enjoy the colorful explosions and good cheer of the Savannah, GA Independence Day crowd.

At McMillan Inn, walk down to the river with Innkeepers Joe and Cindy Celento to watch the spectacular display. They go every year and it’s always a pleasure to to share with their guests.

Tybee Island 4th of July 2012

Just 18 miles from Savannah, Georgia, the scenic beaches of Tybee Island are a great place to watch the island’s annual Wednesday 4th of July Fireworks. This is a popular event, so visitors should arrive well before the 9:15 “dark thirty” start time. Although the show is staged on the pier, you can find a place on any of the eastern Tybee beaches to watch the fireworks.

McMillan Inn gets a new website

McMillan Inn New Site In May of 2012, McMillan Inn, a historic Savannah Bed & Breakfast,  launches a new website, built in Inndx, a WordPress powered service by InsideOut. This brand new site has powerful editing capabilities, the innkeepers of McMillan Inn can now log in with one easy password to access all of these editing capabilities. Some of the tasks in which they can now perform include, creating and managing photo galleries, changing text and images, writing and maintaining blog posts, and much more.

This beautiful new site has large image areas to showcase this historic Savannah Bed and Breakfast in more accurate detail. There is also an Inndx exclusive Specials feature tool in which specials can be organized and posted for the particular dates they will run.

Along with this new website, there will be a mobile site viewable by all handheld devices. This new site is built around the leading content management system of WordPress. This allows the site administrator to log in, add text, photos, pages and much more.
