The 8th Annual Pirate Fest on Tybee Island invites you to bring out your inner pirate, if only for a weekend. This family friendly event entertains pirates of all ages with live music, games, shopping, a parade and costume ball.
The Thieves Market downtown by the water will have vendors with every bit of pirate (and non-pirate) gear you’ve ever hoped for. Buy costumes, arts and crafts, souvenirs and more!
Live entertainment throughout the weekend includes everything from live bands to fire breathing and sword dancing street performers. For the kids, there are magicians, face painting, puppets, storytellers and games. Bands will play all weekend and headliners on Friday and Saturday night include Vince Neil from Motley Crüe and A1A’s Jimmy Buffet Tribute Show.
The Parade of Pirates on Tybee Island will take place on Butler street, Saturday October 6 at 3 pm. Elaborate pirate ships will “float” down the road, with crews of pirates, wenches and other colorful characters. Come early to claim a good spot along the street to watch and wave.
The Buccaneer Ball at the Crab Shack (40 Estill Hammock Road on Tybee Island) is open to adults age 18 and up, Thursday, October 4 from 7 to 11 pm. Eat, drink and dance like a pirate! Costume contest will determine the Best Pirate and Best Wench of them all. Tickets for the ball are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
