Savannah Music Festival Lineup 2013

Starting March 20 and lasting until April 6, the 10th the Savannah Music Festival (SMF) will present a world-class celebration of the musical arts! The annual festival is Georgia’s largest musical arts event and one of the most distinctive cross-genre music festivals in the world.

The festival takes place in venues all over Savannah during the two-week plus celebration, including:

  • Charles H Morris Center
  • Johnny Mercer Theater
  • River Street – Rousakis Plaza
  • Temple Mickve Israel
  • Trustees Theater
  • Christ Church Episcopal
  • Lucas Theater for the Arts
  • Ships of the Sea North Garden
  • Trinity United Methodist Church

SMF Lineup Highlights

Here are some of the artists and performances that we think look especially intriguing.

African blues & Creole-Cajun crossroads: Ballaké Sissoko & Vincent Ségal; Cedric Watson & Dirk Powell: Friday and Saturday March 22 & 23, 6 & 8 p.m. shows on both days at the Charles H. Morris Theater. Tickets are $35

Zydeco Dance Party with Lil’ Wayne & his band Same Ol’ Two Step: Friday March 22 at 7:15 and 9:30 p.m. shows at the Ships of the Sea North Garden. Tickets are $30.
Old Crow Medicine Show: (Rock ‘n’ Roll-folk-country) Friday March 22 at 8 p.m. inside the Johnny Mercer Theater. Tickets are $22-$65
Ahmad Jamal: (Jazz) Saturday March 23 at 3 p.m. inside the Trustees Theater. Tickets are $28-$60

Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company: An Evening of Music and Movement:  Saturday March 23 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Lucas Theater for the Arts. Tickets are $30-$65
Aaron Diehl: (Jazz Piano Soloist) Monday March 25 at 12:30 p.m. inside the Charles H Morris Center. Tickets are $20
Dr. John: (Funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock and Creole roots) Wednesday March 27 at 8 p.m. inside the Lucas Center for the Arts. Tickets are $25-$65

Savannah Lodging for the Music Festival
