The annual Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance is celebrating its 16th anniversary in 2017. The beloved event kicks off on October 27th with the 3-day, Savannah Speed Classic then continues through the week with a host of automotive and motorsports events.

Pace Lap Party
Thursday, October 26th, 5:30 pm to 8 pm, at the Ellis Square at City Market
Get up close and personal to the cars and meet the drivers that will be racing at the Savannah Speed Classic.
Savannah Speed Classic
Friday, October 27th through Sunday, October 29th, 8:30 am to 5 pm, at The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa
The annual Savannah Speed Classic is a unique road race held on Hutchinson Island’s Grand Prize of America Road Course. The event is a salute to the heritage of Grand Prix racing, which was born right here in Savannah.
2nd Annual Vintage Auto Film Exhibition
Thursday, November 2nd, 6pm to 10 pm, at the Coligny Theater
Come out for an evening of high-octane, silver-screen nostalgia featuring “The Man & Le Mans” with Steve McQueen. Don’t miss the red-carpet welcome reception at 6pm with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, classic cars, and a cash bar. The film starts at 7pm.
Evening of Cars and Cigars
Thursday, November 2nd, 6:30 pm, at Carolina Cigars
An Evening of Cars and Cigars includes a delicious dinner, open bar, 2 cigars per guest, and, of course, plenty of beautiful automobiles.
Flights & Fancy Aeroport Gala
Friday, November 3rd, 7 pm to 10 pm, at the Hilton Head Island Airport
Vintage and new aircraft, such as the Cirrus Vision Jet and a Gulfstream G280, will be on display at the Hilton Head Island Airport General Aviation Ramp, along with the plenty of gorgeous cars.
Car Club Showcase
Saturday, November 4th, 9 am to 4 pm, at the Port Royal Golf Club
Car Club cars will span the 1st and 18th fairways of Planter’s Row Golf Course at the Port Royal Golf Club. This year’s Car Club Showcase will feature Clubs from throughout the Southeast and beyond and will be split between American and European marques.
Aero Expo
Saturday, November 4th, 9 am to 4 pm, via shuttle from the Port Royal Golf Club
Aero Expo offers a first-class journey through the past, present, and future of the automotive and aviation timelines. Vintage, new, and advanced aircraft will be on display alongside comparable driving machines.
After Monterey: Where is the Market Heading?
Saturday, November 4th, 9:30 am – 10:30 am, at the Port Royal Golf Clubhouse
Leading collector car experts discuss the current state of the market and the trends you need to know about. Seasoned collectors as well as novices will leave this seminar with a wealth of relevant knowledge. 2017 Panelists include Ken Gross, noted automotive author and curator; Mark Hyman, noted collector; and Ramsey Potts, Car Specialist, RM/Sotheby’s.
Satisfy Your Thirst After Party

The Satisfy Your Thirst After Party is open to those attending the Car Club Showcase. Enjoy some of this year’s most beautiful cars, live music from Cranford Hollow, and tastings from South Carolina distilleries and craft breweries.
Autoweek’s Design Among the Stars
Saturday, November 4th, 6:30 pm, at the South Carolina Yacht Club at Windmill Harbour
Mingle and dine with some of the world’s finest automotive designers in a casual South Carolina Lowcountry setting. and do it for a good cause. Dutch Mandel hosts designers Ben Ebel (Chairman, Michelin’s Global Challenge Design Program), Jay Ward (Creative Director of “Cars” Franchise, Pixar Animation Studios) and Ed Welburn (GM’s Former Global Design Chief). Attendees will also have an opportunity to bid on automotive art sketched by these designers while you watch.
Concours d’Elegance
Sunday, November 5th, 9 am to 4 pm, at the Port Royal Golf Club
Concours d’Elegance (French for “competition of elegance”) will feature over 500 cars, boats, motorcycles, and aircraft being displayed and judged. A rare collection of some of the most amazing vehicles in the world.

Pinnacle Award and Honored Collector
This year’s Pinnacle Collector, Ken Gross, will be honored for his role in curating some of the best automotive collections in the country.
2017’s Honored Collector is noted Savannah philanthropist and businessman, Robert S. “Bob” Jepson, Jr. Cars from Jepson’s collection of pre-War American and rare European vehicles will be on display.
