Presented by the Downtown Neighborhood Association, this year’s tour focuses on the southern expansion of Savannah’s Historic District. The route celebrates the 175th anniversary of Whitefield and Taylor Squares, highlighting the architecture, history, and hospitality of this distinctive neighborhood.
Each participating property offers something different, from period architectural details and beautiful furnishings to personal collections and holiday decorations. Docents stationed throughout the tour provide historical background and insights into the homes and their occupants.
The self-guided walking tour also supports a good cause. Proceeds benefit the Downtown Neighborhood Association’s Community Grant Program, which helps fund local nonprofits and neighborhood initiatives.
