Get set for Savannah Music Festival 2022,  scheduled for March 24th through April 9th! The upcoming, three-week event brings a diverse collection of award-winning acts to Savannah every year. This year’s highlights include Mavis Staples, Bruce Hornsby, Béla Fleck, the Vijay Iyer Trio, Drive-By Truckers, and many, many others!

Savannah Music Festival has been bringing world-class, cross genre performers to Savannah from around the globe for over 30 years. This year’s festival continues that tradition with more than 50 performances in 17-days. The cross-genre lineup includes classical, country, folk, jazz, rock, and plenty in between. This diverse schedule provides a little something for everyone’s tastes, plus the opportunity to warm to something new.

Several different venues will host the festival performances. These include the Metal Building at the Trustees’ Garden, the Trustees Theater, Savannah Cultural Arts Center, the Lucas Theatre, Trinity United Methodist Church, the Ships of the Sea Museum and the Johnny Mercer Theatre.

Savannah Music Festival 2022 Highlights

This year’s festival features more than 50 different performances across 17 days.

Highlights include Dee Dee Bridgewater and the Memphis Soulphony on March 25th and Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers on March 26th. Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) is scheduled to perform March 30th.

The Philip Dukes & Friends Chamber Music Series includes four different concerts: Saint-Säens & Fauré (3/27), Tales of the Unexpected (3/29), Brahms & Schumann (3/31), and All Beethoven (4/1).

Béla Fleck brings “My Bluegrass Heart” to the Lucas Theatre stage March 31st. The legendary Mavis Staples also appears at the Lucas Theatre, scheduled for April 1st.

April 3rd sees the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra with mandolinist Avi Avital, Robert Spano conducting, at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Both the Drive-By Truckers and the Vijay Iyer Trio perform April 5th, at the Lucas Theatre and Trustees’ Garden, respectively.

The appearance of Mike Marshall’s Stringband Spectacular on April 7th includes Allison de Groot, Tatiana Hargreaves, and Mile Twelve progressive string band from Boston. Voices of Mississippi, featuring William Ferris, Cedric Burnside, Sharde Thomas, plus Luther and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars, play the Lucas Theatre April 8th.
